Push Presents For Dads
By the very definition, Push Presents are gifts for the mom for carrying and pushing a baby out. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, men have not been blessed with the capability to carry a baby in their wombs for 9 months. Most men do, however, become the main form of support for you and do as much as they can to help their wives through the difficult times. This can be in the form of running errands so the new mom doesn’t have to, giving massages when needed, running to the store for your strange cravings, being the one to hug you whenever you are feeling emotional, listening to you when you are venting, understanding the pain you are going through, holding your hand and reminding you to breathe while you are in labor, running out to get you ice chips, etc, etc.
Therefore, there shouldn’t be a push present for dads but there should be some sort of Support Present for dads. It could also be known as a Thank You gift. Not sure what to call it but it’s to show your love and appreciation to your man for being your rock, your main form of support through a joyous but difficult experience. Think about how much he does for you and then think if you had no one to take care of that. Your man has been by your side throughout the entire experience so show him that you appreciate what he has done for you.
With that being said, if your husband is a complete jerk and did not support you throughout this trying time, then no, he does not deserve a present. Don’t encourage his bad behavior. Pregnancy is tough and not having the support you need from your husband only makes it even tougher.
Hopefully, your husband is very supportive and you want to show your appreciation for him being your rock, a shoulder you can cry on, your best friend who sees and supports you even at your worst.
If your man deserves it, he should also see how you appreciate his efforts. Need some help in picking a support gift for the new dad? Read on.
